on the catwalk

Weather is fickle in the Chicago area. I kinda like fickle weather because I am fickle when it comes to clothing. I want variety. I never move my "winter clothing" out of my closet because I want to have options. And the truth is that once you move that "other season" clothing out the weather decides to pull a fast one on you and makes you go dig it all out again. Not me. I never have to dig. All my clothing is hanging in my closet all year round....sucker!

I kinda hate summer. Not the freedom and the beauty but the heat. I do not really like to be hot. In fact I hate to be hot (unless partaking in hot yoga...maybe more on that sometime...I know that those of you who know me are probably laughing at the thought that I have done hot yoga but I have) I despise nasty feeling of sweat dripping off of me, that suffocating feeling of tight and squeezing fabrics.....when I feel hot I feel fat and I do not like to feel fat!  Anyway...I love the weather right at the 70's/60's mark and that has been just what we're enjoying lately. Happy me.

Also: I love dressing my little girl Vera. Babies do not tell you they do not want to wear something. Babies do not put on their favorite pajamas (and make you swear you never will purchase a Disney character nightgown again because you never want to see your child in it ever ever ever again!!) and wear it even though they have for the last 50 million days. Babies do not take off their pants suddenly because they are too hot. Babies wear what you put on them and know no different.  That is why the majority of the clothing shots are of my baby. Yes-it is like dressing a baby doll....one that coos and smiles and is all together lovely!
