oh fall I love you!

Fall is easy to love.......let me show you why.

little boys with white pumpkins
(I have a strange obsession with white pumpkins this year-what an amazingly bizarre and beautiful thing God made huh?)
little girls with orange pumpkins who cannot get enough of the bustling around them

my beautiful fingerless gloves and a shiny red apple (that my daughter really wanted-but refused to eat....guess she knew it was pretty to look at as well:))

our trunk holding precious cargo we would soon transform into "jack"and "bean"

pumpkins....how romantic, I am telling you!

i love fall....favorite season-no contest!
1. orange is my favorite color and the world seems splashed with it in the fall
2. the smell in the air is crisp and romantic
3. everything is starting-the holidays, the bundling up, the football games
4. apple cider, hot chocolate, specialty lattes (pumpkin spice and gingerbread to be specific) are flowing
5. fires in the fireplace are normal now
6. activities with little kids are in abundance-like carving pumpkins
7. the world is amazing....i love fall
Why do you love fall??

Chicken Pot Pie

I found this recipe one day and have made it so many times since. It is absolutely delicious. I leave out the sherry, the pearl onions and the chives. But make any variation you want and I promise it will still be amazing!!
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/patrick-and-gina-neely/individual-chicken-pot-pies-recipe/index.html

Below are the pictures of my chicken pot pie journey:)

Anything simmering in butter not only will taste amazing-but smells amazing too!! And for me, when I cook I want things to smell really yummy in the process....nothing builds an appetite better or makes a home homier.

I love creative touches with food....so of course all of us have to have our first letter of our name on our pies-and then one for love....since we all need that too!

Mine....

Nate's....it was delicious and filling and warm and perfect! Try it and let me know what else I should be baking up here in the Clark home.

An Afternoon Out

So for the past week Judah, Isabelle, and me were all sick. Fever, runny nose, cough, (ear ache for Isabelle)-no swine flu for any of us though. Well, one afternoon we needed to get out....but where do you go when sick and with kiddos that are also sick? Your backyard-and boy was is wonderful!
Laying out on our blankets.....
Judah and one of the MANY leaves that Isabelle collected that day.
Me, the crazy mother of these two little love babes. My sweet little one-showing me her shoe....this girl loves her shoes!

Sweetest little man around-giving out as many smiles as coughs.
Isabelle....my favorite little pal...can't you tell why?

Snuggles together-my favorite moments as a mom.

Just staring up-and wondering about all those leaves and just how they change colors.

Hmmmm...still thinking about that one, right Judah?

What a perfect time to just watch the world go by.:)

Small Addiction

I have a confession to make. I am addicted to nail polishes! Now before you freak out as you picture me sniffing it up in the back room of my house-hear me out. I am addicted to painting my nails-and the insane amount of fun nail polishes out there. For me, painting my nails is therapeutic and relaxing. I usually do it when the kids are down (if I do not then you can guarantee that one of them will be crying and need to be held and there goes my wet nails into gooey nast) and I select from my small collection (that is constantly growing:)) of colors and get going.

My hubby is not so crazy about all the weirdo colors I have been into lately (my last purchase is a dark, dark, dark forest/emerald green that looks black from a distance) but is always such a good sport about it. I have today painted my nails in what is called "Bubble Bath" by OPI. A very soft and sheer pinky white nail polish-these are the colors that my love likes the best-and upon painting my nails this color I showed him-to which he smiled warmly and said he liked!

Anyway-all that being said....if you ever need insight into the best colors to get-let me know because I probably could tell you. Also, if you have colors that you just think you cannot live without (alright we all know we could live without any of these silly triffles....but it is fun and girly) then please comment and let me know. Or even better, take a picture of your nails and show me.

If you want to feed your addiction to nail polishes then let me give you the most wonderful website that will cut the cost of OPI polishes almost in half!!

I have been drooling over it for the past few minutes and thought I should share the love. Hope your nights are going well.....better than mine.....I am currently sick as a dog-bluh. And my sweet little Isabelle turns 2 tomorrow and she too is sick. Oh well-I know we will come up with something fun and special to do for her big 2 year old day.
Loves to you all and thanks for humoring me by letting me know you read what I write-it is far more motivating believe me!!

I have included my favorites (at this moment) of polishes below, enjoy the eye candy. Sometimes the BEST shopping is just window shopping!!(in order or appearance the names of these polishes:tickle my france-y, parlez-vous OPI, you don't know jacques, bubble bath, suzi says da)

If you read this...follow me or comment:)

I am just curious if people really are reading what I am writing-or if this is more of a personal journal for me more than anyone. If you read this-please let me know because I like to know who is reading it:) Thanks....if there is really anyone out there.

Cup of Yum

Every morning when I awake (after taking care of my sweet little loves) I brew either a small pot of coffee or I make myself an americano with our espresso maker. Either one is then carried downstairs and sipped while I take care of emails, etc. This is how I feel about those moments with my coffee....
Coffee is so comforting and delicious-thank you Lord for making coffee:) this little lady LOVES it!

(and in case you really want to sip your coffee out of a heart shaped cup-you can....go to this cutie pie shop-http://www.mollaspace.com/product_info.php?cPath=41&products_id=252)

Cheers!

talk about cute kiddo clothing!!

I love looking at little kid clothes-especially because I have a boy and a girl so there is always something I can find that is adorable for one of them. Now keep in mind I rarely buy clothes for them because I have a sister who gives amazing hand me downs and I have hit up some unbelievable garage sales that could clothe my kids forever.....and of course there are occasional weak moments at baby gap and gymboree which we do not need to dwell on-BUT I have finally found a dream store for clothes-good thing it is a bit of a drive away.

Can we just all say how cute these little girl clothes are!!?? I love to imagine just how stinkin cute Isabelle would be in all of the below items. I stumbled across this store Jack and Jane at Woodfield mall-and it was love at first look. It is officially the Anthro of little kids.:) Be still my heart-and wait till I show you the boys clothes (and yes, I have been discovering that indeed the clothing world does make cute boy things too-you just have to search a little harder)

And for the boy section....oh if my Judah wore this stuff he would be the cutest little lumberjack that ever was!

My little Belle

My sweet little Isabelle is going to be two in a week.....oh my how time flies!! She is the delight of many of my days-always surprising me with the different things she says and does. I love her and thought you should have a sample of how sweet she is!!
