a portrait a day.

I read of a challenge over on this blog and decided to sign myself up. Right now we are in the midst of selling our house and things seem a little out of the norm (maybe that is an understatement). I resonate with having something consistent in my life over the next 30 days, even if it is posting a picture of myself on the internet.

I often wish I had more photographs of my grandparents or my parents. I treasure most the shots of them doing the mundane, the ordinary parts of life because it is in those pictures that I discover more of them.  I want to capture the true reality of my days in these photos...in other words don't plan on getting makeup inspiration, outfit envy, or mom-guilt from looking at them. I want them to be honest and real enough moments that in years to come when I look back I will get a true sense of my life in each one.

I would love for any of you to join me.

So cool Abby! I have to admit I have a fear of taking pictures of myself, But just reading the way you appreciate pictures of others is an encouragement. Maybe I'll try it...
